In partnership with the Council Bluffs Community Schools since 1991, the Community Education Foundation serves as a catalyst to involve the broader community in the education of young people. The Foundation successfully administers programs that directly benefit learning and help the school district fulfill its mission for children. Here are some examples:

Kids & Company, the innovative before and after school child care program, which annually serves 700 students and their working parents.

Scholarships and Training for Adult Re-Entry Students (STARS), an initiative of the Iowa West Foundation that supports 20 nontraditional students annually in their pursuit of a college degree.

The Gold Star Fund, a charitable fund created to provide opportunities for individuals, businesses, and organizations to invest in the success of the District’s students and families by providing financial support for worthy projects not funded by the District’s operating budget.

The Community Education Foundation is an active force in helping to preserve and enhance excellence in our classrooms and community.
